Vancouver’s bike to work week is just around the corner. Starting on May 28 everyone is encouraged to leave the car at home and try biking to work. I suggest trying it out once or twice before then just to get yourself ready. Hopefully you will find that not only will you be saving money in gas, maintenance and parking you will enjoy your commute more and get some healthy exercise at the same time.

The Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition has done a great job in promoting this event. They even offer a tracking system that you can sign up for. It will provide you with stats on your commuting benefits as well as put you into competition with co-workers as well as other companies for the most faithful bicycle commuters. I didn’t even think this was possible, but this kid has figured out how to do a donut on his bicycle. He even smokes the back tire a bit. I’m guessing a few quarts of oil was put down on the ground before he started.

Here’s a funny video taken in Saudi Arabia, these guys are hanging out the doors of their car going down the highway. It looks like they are ice skating in their sandals. As they casually step onto the concrete highway while zipping down the highway. Luckily there are no speed bumps.

Anyone here interested in going flying with this person? They are flying within inches of the ground, zipping around trees and just creating a crazy rollercoaster ride out of a helicopter. I love it! Personally I prefer the safe computer simulation environment over trying this out in real life though.

Here’s another good trick. Watch the following video and see if you can correctly count the number of times the basketball is passed to someone wearing a white shirt. Watch closely, they pass the ball quickly and you just may miss it.
