I’ve had a couple of SD cards fail on me and have gotten tired of creating little plastic coasters for my shot glasses. After sifting through all the crap on the net about “SD Card Failure”, “SD Card Not Found”, “Recover SD Card”, I finally found some good info on re-formatting a dead SD card.

The post suggested that I download the following free file from data rescue. It is a program that will re-format your SD card.

There are lots of programs out there that claim to recover data from a corrupt SD card, but I wasn’t interested. I just wanted to start using my SD card again. The above program will wipe out your SD card and then you will be able to format it using the regular process.
