Slow Down Health In Sight - Don’t Scare the Cyclists
To the lady driving the Grey Honda CRV on Wednesday June 25th 6:20pm heading West on Cornwall in Vancouver, BC. I’m guessing you were late for a wedding at Jericho beach?
Was it worth the ten seconds you saved by squeezing by those two bicyclists at 60kph? Did you hear them scream in shock and fear as you raced within a foot of their handlebars? Or were you too busy talking on the cell phone? Or maybe you were listening to the radio? Or maybe you were adjusting your makeup?
Please take a moment to think about how dangerous it is to be pushing your metal monster down the road when there are human beings on the road. All it would have taken was one of the cyclists to swerve around a pothole and they would have been mushed into your bumper. Is ten seconds of your life worth someone’s entire life?
A couple of other comments. If you are driving a company vehicle, like you were, don’t you think you should be driving more responsibly? The way you drive will give people an impression about your company. Do you want the name “Health In Sight” associated with disregard for human safety and a healthy form of transportation?
