Google Wonder Wheel

I just stumbled across this search feature in Google today (yes, I’m sure it’s probably been out there for ages, but I haven’t clicked on the [+] Show options… link too much, I think I’m going to have to explore that option more often.

So next time you do a search, try this out to see your search results in a cool visual way.

  1. Start off by doing a search like you normally would, open up http://www.google.com.
  2. Enter your search phrase.
  3. On the search results screen, look at the top for the [+] Show options… link. Click it.
  4. On the left hand side a new panel will open up with a bunch of options. Look for Standard view, it should be bolded. Right under that is Wonder wheel. Click this link.
  5. A new graphic will open up in the middle that looks something like the following graphic. In your search results (not on the graphic below) click on each of the spokes to expand it out to see what is related to that search. Very cool!
